Matt Love to open 2010 Oregon Legacy Series

Coastal author Matt Love will be the first speaker in the 2010 Oregon Legacy Series. He will speak at 3pm, Sunday February 21, 2010 in the Distad Reading Room at Driftwood Public Library.

Love is well known for his journalism, including his column One Man's Beach for the Oregonian. His books include Super Sunday in Newport, Citadel of the Sprit, Old Nehalem Road, Red Hot and Rollin', Vortex I, Grasping Wastrels vs. Beaches Forever, Inc., and Salt.

He is the founder and publisher of the Nestucca Spit Press, which specializes in books about Oregon. He also is the recipient of the 2009 Stewart Holbrook Award for Contributions to Oregon Literary Life.

Love currently lives in South Beach, Oregon and teaches writing in Newport.
